Dr. Lancaster grew up in Raleigh, NC and is a graduate of Broughton High School, class of 1981, and also a Wolfpack Alumnus, graduating from NC State University in 1985, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1991, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree and also won the 1991 Alcon Contact Lens Achievement Award. He also earned a second Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science while at PCO. His practice, Louisburg Eye Associates was started in 1992. Dr. Lancaster is a member of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina State Optometric Society and the Eastern District Optometric Society.
Dr. Lancaster currently resides in Youngsville, NC with his wife and has three children. His daughter is also a graduate of NC State and she hopes to go to graduate school in the near future majoring in public health. His older son is going to Wilson Community College and is currently a volunteer fireman with Youngsville Fire Department, while his younger son is a honor student at Franklinton High School. Dr. Lancaster enjoys cycling, both with his bicycle and his motorcycle. He has coached recreational and challenge level soccer, while also being an avid computer gamer and sports enthusiast rooting for his favorites in football, soccer and Nascar.
